This course digs deep into The MARIO Framework’s™ evidence-based intervention, The MARIO Approach™, as well as one-to-one learning conversations that are strategic and targeted with the end goal of developing learner autonomy. Through the completion of this course and implementation of one-to-one learning conversations, participants will:
- understand how to connect more meaningfully with the learners they serve
- model behaviors which result in tremendous personal growth as self-directed learners
- explore core elements of The MARIO Framework™ in enough depth to begin implementation within their context

- examples of aligned MARIO for Me™ software features as well as the opportunity to experience a feature of the software with short-term trial access

About the Course
Prerequisite Course: Implementing Effective 1:1 Learning Conversations
Audience: Advisors, Content Teachers, Counselors, Administrators, Special Education/Learning Support Teachers, Instructional Assistants/TAs
This comprehensive course provides high-impact professional learning, primarily focusing on concepts of neurodivergence and high-impact learning strategies.
In this course, participants will:
- develop awareness around evidence-based approaches to utilize when serving neurodivergent students
- explore how to effectively hold one-to-one learning conversations with the learners they support to improve academic outcomes and overall wellbeing
This course prepares participants to actively contribute to the learning occurring within classrooms by utilizing The MARIO Framework™, principles of Universal Design for Learning, and/or providing inclusive learning services.
Embedded within this course are:
- examples of aligned MARIO for Me™ software features
- high-quality research, both seminal and innovative in nature
